Alejandro Aznavwrian with Arcángel Fernández Guitars


Alejandro Aznavwrian is a musician and producer. Also known for his multifaceted interests in acoustic music, specially technological. He was born on september 7th 1979 in Mexico city, with armenian and cuban ancestry.
His style is characterized by the union of acoustic and electronic music, with sound techniques for portraits created in his compositions.
As a guitarist, he is the creator of "La Técnica al Filo" method for fusion guitar, which involves percussion based playing in the acoustic guitar, focusing on specific cadences and rhythms taken from flamenco and latin american music, giving the guitar a wide variety of expression.
As a musician he is recognized for his talent and academic knowledge in various genres like son veracruzano, bossa-nova, neo classic guitar, classical guitar, rock, blues, delta blues, metal, RnB, electronic music, etc.



 Throughout his career he has been sponsored by important brands such as Andalusian Guitars, and Fender USA, giving him the opportunity to acquire a signature model, and an exact copy of Paco de Lucía's guitar.



 

He also published a method for fusion guitar called "La Guitarra al Filo de Alejandro Aznavwrian -Volume I".
His first acoustic guitar album portrays the use of the "Filo Technique".


Ararat Music School

Director of Ararat Music School, a growing talent incubator that focuses on preparing students at a professional level in subjects such as composition, audio engineering, instrument, in order to acquire scholarships in prestigious foreign universities like NYU, Michigan University, DePaul University.. etc.







The Arcángel Fernández guitar workshop opened its doors in 1957, and its owner Arcángel Fernández, met Madrid's best guitar constructor, Marcelo Barbero, inheritor of the Santos Hernández school. Arcángel worked as an apprentice with Marcelo Barbero, and after Marcelo´s death, he continued his constructed guitars and later worked with Marcelo Barbero Jr, for another 40 years.

Important guitarists like Paco de Lucía, John Williams, Alirio Díaz, and modern guitarists like Irene Arutyunyan, Alejandro Aznavwrian and Grisha Goryachev have played their music with a guitar made by the Arcángel Fernández workshop.

Alejandro Aznavwrian had the opportunity to play a guitar from an important collection, in which we can find guitars ranging from 1965 to 1982.


The students of the professional course had the opportunity to play a guitar made by Marcelo Barbero Jr
 from  1982.
